A first date is always special. Going on a first date usually brings with it mixed emotions. From the excitement of getting to know the other person better to the fear that everything might go wrong, a whole host of thoughts run through your mind when meeting someone in person for the first time.

Don't talk to yourself

One thing that most people do is start talking to themselves — talking about their childhood, teenage antics, work challenges, and everything else in one go, without letting anyone else join in the conversation. This can be a big turn-off for your date.

Don't say anything to fill a gap in the conversation

It's normal for there to be lulls in the conversation when you meet someone on a first date, but filling in the gaps with chatter is a bad idea. Rather than helping things and providing a pleasant experience, it can make the other person feel completely confused and uncomfortable, so it's something you should avoid at all costs.

Don't use your smartphone too much

No excuse can justify the behavior of someone who occasionally uses their smartphone on a first date. It can make the other person feel disrespected and disrespected. Therefore, no matter how urgent the call, avoid being obsessed with your smartphone as it can create a bad impression on the person you are with.

Be open, but don't reveal too much about your personal life.

Honesty and openness are always appreciated when going out on a date, but don't give away too much information on the first date, as you might end up overwhelmed.
