ROCKY MOUNT, Va. – Accent furniture and accessories retailer Atharmost is recalling approximately 17,000 mirrors, art and wall decor items that were sold with hardware that could break and cause the decor to fall and injure bystanders.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the company had received 13 reports of mirrors and wall decorations falling from walls after the hanging hardware broke, resulting in one injury in which a consumer suffered a laceration to the leg when the mirror fell.
The recall covers a variety of mirrors, art and wall décor sold with adjustable J-hook hanging hardware. These J-hooks have item numbers 1703, 1704, 1705 or 1706 printed on the bottom back of the hardware box. A complete list of recalled mirrors, art and wall décor sold with adjustable hooks can be found at www.uttermost.com/images/recall.
