This connection allows device owners to control the device remotely from the Nest Hub or via an app on their phone.
Nest Hub is integrated with YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, Apple Music, Disney+ and more, allowing Nest Hub owners to watch tutorial videos on YouTube and listen to their favorite songs on Spotify. Nest Hub users' favorite songs can also be played simultaneously on all Nest speakers throughout their home.
With Nest Hub, you can set alarms and also configure lists of things to report, like weather or news, when your alarm goes off.
A Nest Hub can be placed in the owner's bedroom to track the quality of their sleep.
Another feature of the Nest Hub is that it shows you what the Nest Doorbell camera is seeing in real time and allows anyone watching the camera to talk to whoever is at the front door through the doorbell. Nest Hub owners can also lock and unlock their doors using the touchscreen, app, or voice commands.
Door locks aren't the only things you can control with voice commands through the Nest Hub.
You can say, “OK, Google, set my kitchen lights to 50 percent,” and if you have a dimmer switch, your kitchen lights will turn on at 50 percent brightness.
Nest Hub can also answer questions like, “What's the weather forecast?” and “What's my plan for today?”
