I think about organizing my home all day every day. I wish that were an exaggeration.
I work with a professional home organizer every day at work and have the opportunity to see beautiful photos of perfectly organized spaces, so I can't help but think about it during my free time. I often point out in detail how everything in my house could be improved to make it easier and more beautiful to organize. In particular, most of the storage in my house is left over from my school days, everything is disorganized and does not fit my current needs at all.
This weekend, I finally took the plunge and upgraded most of my storage to reflect my changing lifestyle, using some of the most valuable decluttering lessons I've learned from the pros. And good news: you can find the same on QVC so you can, too.

QVC Home Storage Recommendations
Wooden Maple Clip Hangers, Pack of 12
It may not seem like much, but the right hangers make a big difference in the organization and functionality of your closet. While some people prefer slim velvet hangers, I recently upgraded to sturdy wooden hangers with clips to keep everything from shirts and dresses to skirts and trousers perfectly uniform. I regret not doing so sooner. Even better, I can try on outfits in advance and keep everything together on one hanger, which is great for organizing my morning routine.
Circular storage ottoman with removable lid
My living room is small. I can only fit a small sofa, chair, coffee table and media unit, so storage space is definitely at a premium. Previously, I had a big open basket to store blankets that I wasn't using, but it was definitely a waste of space. Following the advice of some organization experts, I decided to replace the basket with a multi-functional storage ottoman. It acts as both blanket storage and a footstool, saving me a ton of space.
Wall-mounted small clothes drying rack
I love being able to air dry my laundry, but the weather doesn't always suit my laundry schedule. On rainy days, I usually use a big foldable drying rack, but it's unsightly and difficult to store. Now that I've lived in this house for a while, I finally upgraded to a wall-mounted drying rack, which is out of the way when not in use and easy to access when needed.
3 glass food containers
I only recently realized how bad plastic is for food storage. Recent studies have shown that plastic containers can contain PFAs (permanent chemicals), which is not something you want to have near your food. So I decided to take the plunge and replace all my plastic containers with glass ones. I personally like containers with wooden lids, but if you want something safer, plastic lids work great.
Shopping isn't storage without baskets. I was tired of seeing my Wi-Fi router and Hue hub in the corner of my living room, so I bought an open-top woven basket to put them away. By choosing a woven-sided basket, I was able to run the wires through small gaps for a seamless look. It also allowed heat to escape so nothing overheated. This is a great way to place your router in the perfect spot for a strong Wi-Fi signal without disrupting your decorating plans.
Seagrass Nesting Storage Baskets, Set of 3
Speaking of storage baskets, I also purchased nesting baskets to organize my DIY supplies. Previously, I kept some in a toolbox that was too small, with the rest scattered on the shelf beside it. Now, everything is neatly and beautifully stored in neat baskets that I can take out and carry around the house when needed.
6 Pack Clear Stackable Acrylic Drawers
My bathroom has as much storage space as my living room—except it's not that much. As a result, most of my products sit on open shelves, where they easily collect dust. I couldn't find an under-sink unit that would fit in my space, but I did find some storage boxes that I can keep my products in to keep them safe from dirt and dust. They're still on display, but they're much easier to wipe down when I clean the bathroom.
Foldable Drawer Organizer 6 Pack
I love folding clothes in files to organize my dresser and linen closet. However, my clothing collection has grown more than I'd like to admit, and now it's getting hard to keep these stacks organized. I was already using drawer organizers for my underwear drawer, but I finally decided to buy some for my other clothing storage as well, which will help keep everything straight and easy to find in the morning.
4-piece clear turntable set with removable liner
One of the main things that every kitchen organizer expert always buys is a turntable. I didn't really pay much attention to it before, but I've found it to be extremely useful for organizing small cabinets and refrigerators. Now, instead of rummaging through my sauces to find the one I want, risking the previous one falling off the shelf, I can rotate my collection and find the one I want quickly. I also love that it has a removable liner, making it easy to clean.
Upgrading your home organization products has helped you maximize the storage space in each room. When changing your system, consider what already works in your home before buying new things. Replacing a few things can be more effective (and less expensive) than replacing everything, especially if there are areas that already work perfectly.
