A cozy boutique in the heart of Cooma, Alpine Abode focuses on simple, livable interiors with luxurious decorative pieces waiting to be added to your home.
Packed with hand-picked treasures from Australian and international brands, including gifts, occasionally used furniture, bedding, kitchenware, art, skincare and gourmet pantry items.
Combining vintage, modern and rustic pieces in keeping with the relaxed Australian lifestyle, interior designer and owner Elle Bryce says Alpine Abode's style inspiration is a “modern rustic feel”.
“We love neutral, earth tones, warm textured fabrics, and products made with natural materials,” she says.
While renovating her own home and through her studies, Elle realized the lack of quality home decor in Cooma, and decided to open her first boutique in the small town in the Snowy Mountains. I decided.
Locals seemed to share the same sentiments about the stocking brand she came across and loved through her work, and Alpine Abode received such a positive response that Elle will expand into larger stores within 12 months I was able to.
These items are perfect for urban homes as well as local alpine homes, including those lucky Canberrans who have holiday homes in the area.
In preparation for winter, Elle might want to check out the new blankets and throws from Sydney-based brand Sarde. These are all made from natural fibers such as merino wool. Other notable brands include Merry People Boots, Inartisan, Ivory House Australia and Summer Salt Body.
For a local feel, check out local company Restore Grace's collection of home decor or local artist Julie Herringe's charcoal sketches.
Another great tip for Canberrans heading to the snowy mountains is to make sure to pick up a pack of hot chocolate and homemade marshmallows from Grounded Pleasures along the way.
With our selection of simple, well-crafted and beautiful items, you may find a unique item to add to your home or gift to a loved one.
If you can't shop in-store, you can also purchase Alpine Abode's great products online.
