Hanging decorations on the walls seems like an easy task, but in reality it can be quite difficult.

There's nothing more annoying than trying to hang a photo and it bends into the wall, forcing you to cut another hole.

Luckily, there's a simple trick to hanging wall decorations without leaving your walls full of holes.

DIY pro Carolina McCauley shared a simple decorating hack with her 1.9 million followers on Instagram.

In the video, McCauley uses painter's tape on the back of the mirror to mark where the nails will go.

Then she taped the tape to the wall, cut a hole in the tape trace, and simply hung the mirror.

With McCauley's tape trick, she took away all the frustration that comes with trying.

Several impressed people took to the comments section to share their thoughts on McCauley's hack. For example, one person wrote, “This seems obvious, but I hadn't thought of it! Thank you!”

Another commented: “Oh my gosh! I turned 1 today! Do you know how many crooked, slanted, mirrors, holes and pictures I had to redo… Where have you been all this time?”

Another person thanked McCauley for sharing the tip, commenting: “Thank you. There are a few things I'd like to hang but couldn't figure out lol.”

A fourth jokingly said: “So simple yet so clever! Thank you!”

Plus, an interior designer showed us how to use inexpensive artwork to make a home look more expensive.

Meanwhile, one woman turned a boring bedroom wall into a modern gallery using cheap IKEA frames.
