The MITTZON collection brings comfort to the workplace while maintaining a professional atmosphere, making the transition easier for those returning to the office from a WFM situation. To make this collection as ergonomic and user-friendly as possible, IKEA prioritized his two features.
- Acoustics: Noise in the workplace can have a big impact on your concentration and well-being. Developed to absorb and block sound, MITTZON Acoustic Screens are filled with 90% wood fiber and also provide privacy by limiting distractions.
- Biocompatible design: Biocompatible design features (shapes, colors, and materials inspired by nature) have been shown to help reduce stress and increase productivity. The Scandinavian outdoors, such as sand patterns and wood finishes, inspired the design of the collection, which creates a relaxing and work-friendly environment.

“Ergonomic principles cover more than just good posture, and we put a lot of thought into developing our items with that in mind,” Dille says. “We worked with experts in the field to consider what affects not only the body but also the senses in an office environment, and therefore concentration and well-being, and incorporated the findings into the development of Mitzon.”
