For Dwell Home Staging and Market designers Emily White and Christy Craig Anderson, this contemporary new construction was a dream. With an expansive open floor plan, polished iron and glass details, and gorgeous custom wood cabinetry and flooring, it was the ideal canvas for a “livable luxury” design.
The desired atmosphere was quiet, minimalist and luxurious. Therefore, the designers' task was to stabilize the space by softening the smooth architecture and high ceilings with soft textures and organic elements.
“We used crisp whites, creamy taupes, and tans with contrasting pops of black and charcoal to create a modern, organic feel,” says Craig Anderson. “We wanted the furnishings and décor to play a role in supporting the coveted Davis Islands waterfront views, where they are the star of the show.”
In the living room, an on-trend curved bouclé accent chair softens the space, and the curve repeats in the arched doorway and dining room chair, which swivels to watch Prime TV.
“We used a fresh off-white performance fabric from Dwell Home Market and anchored the living room with down-filled sections,” says Craig Anderson, who chose a subdued design scheme inspired by nature. Masu. “Perfect for both upscale entertainment and kid-filled movie nights.”
A designer saltwater pool, outdoor kitchen, and private dock all open onto the charming waterfront. A deep sea dock is a yacht owner's dream.
This contemporary waterfront masterpiece is located along one of Davis Islands' most popular streets. The scenery takes center stage here. Almost every large window in this home offers expansive bay views.
