In Marietta, you have a chance to win a brand new home, car, and $150,000 in cash.
The prize is part of the HGTV show “Smart Home,” hosted by designer Tiffany Brooks. Brooks transforms ordinary homes into high-tech luxury pads that are gifted to one lucky winner or the winner's family each year.
The 2024 Smart Home is coming to Gem City, giving anyone 21 and older a chance to win a 2,400-square-foot, four-bedroom home, an all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, and prizes . Until June 10th.
Brooks said the show takes homes to the next level through sustainable features, functional design and high-tech appliances.
Marietta smart homes feature plenty of skylights and windows to provide extra natural light, reduce the need for excessive power usage, TVs that double as works of art, extended exterior facades to increase access to the outdoors, and more. is a “smart” bed.
“The bed adapts to the way you sleep.'' You can set comfort settings such as firmness, softness, and number of sleep cycles, and you can also raise or lower the bed. “Basically, you can build a relationship with a home over the phone,” Brooks said.
Brooks said the 2024 Smart Home was designed in Marietta because it's the perfect location.
“We dig in and imagine, 'If I could choose my trash, where would I want to live?'” Brooks said. “It has a lot to do with the neighborhood, the distance from the airport, the social activities you have to do, the feelings of the families living there…where are the best schools? All of these things create a recipe for a smart home.”
Winners will be notified in mid-July that their dream home has become a reality. Brooks said that in the past, winners have always entered their names into the lottery several times.
