If you're having trouble decorating your home on a budget, consider making your own decorations. DIY home decor is not only budget-friendly, but it also allows you to create unique items that you won't find anywhere else. Of course, you can also create his DIY decorations that imitate expensive pieces that are out of your budget. In any case, designing your own decorations will help you create your dream home. With just a few items from Dollar Tree and your local craft or home improvement store, you can create a gorgeous glass centerpiece with gold accents that will elevate your living space.

To complete this Dollar Tree DIY centerpiece idea, you'll need two glass bowls, a small knob, metal spray paint, a wine glass, a hot glue gun, and the rubber or plastic rim of a round container. Once you've made this ornament and displayed it in your home, your guests won't even know it was made using Dollar Tree items. It's similar to the kind of high-end centerpieces you would buy at a home goods store for a hefty price.

Where can I buy the materials to create this centerpiece?

TikTok user @yetsika_homedecor shared a video tutorial showing exactly how to assemble this DIY centerpiece. As you can see, this project is for super beginners. Let's see where you can buy each of the materials you need. Dollar Tree sells a variety of glass bowls like the one shown at the beginning of the video. Clear glass storage bowls with plastic lids can be purchased on the store's website for just $1.25. This may be the best option since it comes with a plastic lid. You can cut out the edge of this lid and use it as the gold accent piece shown in the video.

Dollar Tree also sells wine glasses that can be used for this DIY. You can purchase several clear glass martini glasses from our website for just $1.25 each. Amazon sells a variety of small gold knobs similar to the ones featured in the video. This website's 2-pack of gold kitchen cabinet knobs is only $8.99, so it's perfect if you're looking to keep things affordable. Amazon is also a great place to get metallic gold spray paint to coat the edges of the container, as shown in the video. For example, Rust-Oleum 340647 Specialty Metallic Spray ($6.83). If you don't already own a hot glue gun, you might be interested in Amazon's AdTech High Temp Combo Kit Mini Hot Glue Gun (price: $6.64).

Once you've finished making this easy DIY centerpiece, you might need a little help deciding where to place it in your home. You can create a sense of unity by making several and displaying them throughout your home, so please consider making them. It might be a good idea to make two and place them side by side on the dining table. If you have more than one centerpiece, you can also place one on the kitchen island and one or two on the dining room table.

This centerpiece is the perfect statement piece to decorate your table at any summer outdoor party you're hosting. You can also fill the bowls with finger foods or other small treats for your guests to feed themselves. If you want to use these centerpieces outside of the kitchen, you can display them in your bedroom or bathroom as decorative storage containers. For example, you can place it on your bathroom counter and use it to store cotton and cotton swabs. An easy and versatile home decor addition.
