DIY stunning sky home decor on a budget with TikTok's aluminum foil hack

I wasn't kidding when I said this was an easy hack. Simply crush the foil into a moon or star shape (a crescent moon is easiest to start with) and cover with masking tape. Once that's done, apply the primer and wait for it to dry before painting. Any metallic color will do. You can mix and match different combinations or even mottle them with patterns that mimic shadows and craters. Your projects, your rules, and your limits are limitless!

Once the moon and stars are dry and satisfied, decide how you want to use them. It also works beautifully on its own next to a lantern or candle for a variation on a moonlight dinner. Or you can tie a string and hang it in a suitable place. You can also create baby mobiles as gifts or incorporate them into gift wrapping for your next birthday party or special occasion.

The great thing about this hack is that it's relatively easy to experiment with the look of the shape, as long as you're still in the foiling stage. Another benefit of this budget-friendly foil decorating hack is that you can easily incorporate leftovers. The next time you find yourself eating more than you need to cover your lunch, cut out the excess and save it for your next celestial craft session. This is a really great way to recycle.
