Dubai: The Dubai World Trade Center was buzzing with activity on the fourth day of Decobuild 2024, the region's leading exhibition for decoration, design and building materials.
The event, organized by Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment and Leader Event Management, attracted a large audience looking to explore the latest trends and innovations.
During the exhibition, exhibitors showcased the latest domestic and international products, innovations, technologies and solutions, and offered competitive and exclusive discounts unique to the annual exhibition.
Their exhibits attracted the attention of visitors and helped participants make informed decisions about housing construction, thereby expediting the process and reducing costs.
Exhibitors at Decobuild 2024 went head-to-head, showcasing the latest in design, decoration and construction. But it was the smart home innovations that really captivated visitors and real estate developers.
Through the platform, companies showcased cutting-edge and comprehensive smart home solutions, providing a glimpse into the future of reduced energy and water consumption. These innovative systems also prioritize environmental sustainability and allow residents to remotely control their entire home.
Haitham Al Khaja, Director of Communication and Marketing Department of Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Facilities, emphasized that the exhibition successfully showcased the latest technologies in the production of building materials, finishing and innovative engineering solutions. It also supported domestic industry by providing industry leaders with opportunities to attract new customers and expand their business reach. Furthermore, he highlighted the growing importance of adopting smart home technologies and thereby increasing awareness about their role in promoting sustainability and saving resources.
Salem Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Founder and CEO of Spectrum Smart Solutions Systems, emphasized that modern trends in real estate unit design are now centered around “Internet of Things” systems. This approach collects comprehensive information about home operations through a single device, allowing for control from nearby or remote locations. This level of connectivity allows property managers who oversee homes and workplaces to monitor all aspects of their units in real time.
Meanwhile, Mahmoud Elayyan, Senior Sales Engineer at Creative Automation, highlighted the Global Protocol for Smart Home, a joint initiative between international companies. Such protocols aim to establish a unified housing control system and ensure energy efficiency, pollution prevention and environmental protection. Mr. Elayyan noted that growing investor and buyer interest in smart homes is being driven by widespread recognition of its diverse benefits.
