The best new game show of the year ended last night with FOX's The Floor crowned the winner. Series host and producer Rob Lowe handed out a whopping $250,000 prize last night during the two-hour season finale.
The battle began 10 weeks ago, on January 2, 2024, with 81 contestants taking to the floor of a giant game show, each declaring their area of expertise and competing with other daring contestants. They were ready to duel. The winner of a timed head-to-head trivia battle captured their opponent's square on the floor, and the loser was sent home.
Only nine contestants remained for the final hour of the season finale, and the categories were Hobbies, Olympic Events, US States, Athletes, Fashion Icons, Country Music, Best Picture Winners, and World Foods and Plants .
Contains spoilers. During the game show, several “whales” (contestants who took up most of the game floor) came to the forefront, including theme park performer Gene, 40, and basketball coach Matthew, 27. did. Arizona. In the finale, the two battled in the first dual of the last hour of the athletes, with Matthew succeeding and maintaining the category of fashion icon that he inherited (the inherited category was one that no one wanted to double over) It seems that).
Matthew had an outstanding performance with “The Floor,'' but lost out to design manager Arthur (40) in the Best Picture category. The pressure was palpable as Matthew missed one of the greatest classic films of all time, 1942's Casablanca, starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. He also struggled with Driving Miss Daisy and The English Patient.
When Arthur took over, he had two options: hobbies, international food, country music, and plants. He easily won the hobby category (even though his opponent, Joanie, lacked one hobby: podcasting).
He challenged student Alana (25) to country music. The biggest losers in this category were Garth Brooks, The Judz, Darius Rucker, Luke Bryan, Trisha Yearwood, and Martina McBride. However, Arthur wins again, leaving only his two challengers: Riley (Plant) and Jacqueline (International Foods).
Arthur chose a plant. Failed in this category were Venus flytraps, daffodils, honeysuckle, pansies, lilies, baobab trees, delphiniums, etc., but Arthur was able to maintain his winning streak again in a fierce showdown.
In the end, Arthur “Von” Vonwelsowets chose fashion icons rather than international foods for his final season dual feature on The Floor. He faced off against Jacqueline Kenny, who wore a lime green satin outfit (you'll recognize the contestants by their outfits each week). It was an expensive move, as it missed out on a string of fashion icons, including Cindy Crawford, Ralph Lauren, Vera Wang, Coco Chanel, Virgil Abloh and Betsey Johnson (pictured below).
Jacqueline Kenny, 31, whose career was identified as experimental marketing, took home $250,000 and became The Floor's first winner.
Will the floor be renovated for the new season?
Although it hasn't been announced yet, it's very likely that the game show will return.
