The top 10 mirror trends for 2023
1. Curved mirror

Curves are king in 2023! Last season's Scott Kam home was styled to perfection, with Riverstone's curved mirror in the hallway adding softness.
At Camalot, we pay attention to the details. The Artemis mirror comes in a variety of sizes to fit any space. We love the curves and are so happy that it took the top spot.
2. TV Mirror
If you watched The Block 2022 Treechange, you'll be no surprise – these mirrors were a hit amongst contestants and make your bedroom TV look super chic. While your bedroom should be beautiful, sometimes you just want to watch The Block in bed on cold winter nights.
Tom and Sarah Jane's master bedroom is the winner. With mirror TVs in every couple's home, it's easy to see why this trend is on the rise.
If you're looking for something a little more luxurious, check out “Framing to a T.” This TV in Scott Kamm's master bedroom is full of luxurious details.
3. Arched mirror
Though it first appeared on The Block a few years ago, the arched mirror trend is still going strong. This style is especially great if you want to add a bit of softness to an angular space. If you have a lot of sharp corners, try rounding them out with a large arched mirror in a prominent location.
Ronnie and Georgia have their finger on the pulse of trends and the Bjorn arched mirror remains one of Block Shop’s bestselling mirrors.
4. Antique mirror
Antique mirrors are a popular new trend this year. They are usually round or oval in shape. If there's one thing we've learned over the last few years, it's to have fun. They look especially nice in bedrooms.
'Marie Claire Miller' puts the perfect finishing touch to the styling of this stunning country home.
5. Extra-large freestanding mirror
Giant oversized or freestanding mirrors are super practical without sacrificing style. Not only do they look amazing, they also have the added benefit of making a space look bigger. Place one in a hallway or in a corner to make a cramped space seem much larger than it actually is. Place one by the front door for added convenience so you can step outside and check your outfit. Great!
The Bjorn Tall Arch Mirror is available in six colours to suit any home, and is seen here beautifully in Brass in the master bedroom of our winning Block House, Omar and Oz.
Freestanding mirrors work especially well with plants nearby – they're like works of art in themselves, and they can liven up any wall and make it appear more spacious.
6. Oval mirror
While circular mirrors were all the rage a few years ago, now is the time for them to give way to oval mirrors. Like arched mirrors, oval mirrors are especially great if you want to add a bit of softness to an angular space.
The combination of this mirror shape and wood really impressed the judges in Rachel and Ryan's renovated room, creating the perfect rustic warmth with a modern twist.
7. Decorative framed mirrors
These went out of style for a while, but with the resurgence of a more maximalist design aesthetic, ornate gold leaf and gold-framed mirrors are truly making a comeback. Spaces filled with antiques and vintage pieces are a great place to have ornate mirrors, especially in the “Venetian” style.
Do something different and if you like the “Venetian style” then The Block Shop is the place for you.
8. Mediterranean Bohemian
One of the hottest trends for 2023 is the Mediterranean bohemian vibe, and mirrors are one of them. It's one of the fastest growing trends in 2023, and you're sure to see more of it in the future. Breaking up white walls with brass mirrors and woven Moroccan baskets creates an instant heavenly combination.
Shop The Block Shop for the latest Mediterranean Bohemian homewares.
9. Rattan and textured mirror
Wicker furniture continues to be a popular interiors trend in 2023. As such, wicker/rattan framed mirrors continue to become popular too. This trend pairs particularly well with coastal and 70s luxe aesthetics. There are plenty to choose from online here.
Sharon and Ankur received mixed feedback from the judges but came out strong with this beautiful nursery featuring Calypsola tan mirrors.
