A young family of three approached designers Keerthika Slenthal and Kishore Rajasekaran of The Design Shop to envision the interior of a 2,800 square foot apartment located in the heart of Chennai city. Located on his 10th floor of a luxury condominium, the home boasts minimalist luxury, defined by delicate beige hues and elegant curves. The designers seamlessly integrated aesthetics and functionality throughout the home. Known as the “Beige House,” the apartment features an entryway, an open living and dining area, a master bedroom, and a bedroom for the client's young son. The home's furniture is a combination of custom pieces designed in-house by The Design Shop and India's leading brands.

The entrance to your apartment sets the tone and gives visitors a glimpse into the design aesthetic of the rest of your home. It features a custom designed curved console that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. “Designing the entire house has been quite a journey, but if I had to choose a favorite it would definitely be the entryway. What made the foyer particularly appealing was the challenge of transforming a narrow hallway into a seamless, inviting space. The aim was to eliminate repetition and monotony, creating a façade that flows effortlessly and is both unique and harmoniously connected. The meticulous effort put in was exhilarating and rewarding,” added Keerthika.
