Intersolar 2024 marked TCL PV Tech's debut in the international energy sector, where the company unveiled smart home energy solutions, commercial and financial solutions, new PV modules and the TCL Home app. According to William Li, general manager of international operations, these innovations will help homeowners significantly reduce their levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and improve their lives through advanced technology.
June 25, 2024 What technological advances are there in TCL's new n-type TOPCon cells and PV modules?
William Li: Our new PV modules across residential, commercial and industrial segments feature advanced n-type G12R TOPCon cells. These cells are more efficient, produce more power and are resistant to degradation from heat and light. They have a low degradation rate of 0.40% and a low temperature coefficient of -0.29%/℃, ensuring excellent performance for 30 years. Three-Cut technology enhances reliability by reducing internal power loss and the risk of hot spots. Overlapping cells eliminate inactive zones, boosting power output and improving performance in the shade.
What improvements in energy yield and efficiency have been achieved in these new products?
William Li: Our new products increase energy yield and efficiency through advanced PV module technology and the all-in-one TCL Home app. n-type G12R TOPCon cells and Three-Cuts technology improve performance by minimizing power loss and eliminating inactive zones, increasing module efficiency to 23.2% and sustaining high energy output of 730W. It enables real-time monitoring and intelligent control, maximizing solar energy utilization and reducing waste. TCL is the only vendor in the residential market offering same-brand products with one management system, reducing complexity for installers and individual consumers.
How do TCL's smart home energy solutions help reduce homeowners' levelized cost of energy (LCOE)?
William Li: TCL's smart home energy solution lowers LCOE by integrating solar panels, energy storage, heat pumps and smart EV charging into one integrated system. The TCL Home app optimizes energy use and reduces waste. Our peak-valley arbitrage feature allows the system to store electricity when prices are low and use or sell it when prices are high to maximize savings. High-quality components ensure long-term reliability and low maintenance costs. The efficient design of our heat pumps increases air volume and heat exchange efficiency, further reducing energy consumption and costs. In addition, TCL Home manages home appliances and aligns smart energy management with appliance demand to achieve individual LCOE targets.

How will new solutions integrate technology for electric vehicle owners?
William Li: TCL's new solution integrates EV technology by offering a smart charger that balances peak charging power and prevents overloading. Users can set the exact charging time on their mobile phone and manage everything through the TCL Home app. We use stored solar energy to achieve environmentally friendly charging, reducing carbon emissions and costs. Our advanced communication system supports multiple communication modes and international protocols, improving efficiency and user experience.
How will the partnership between TCL PV Tech and BNP Paribas benefit homeowners?
William Li: The cooperation between BNP Paribas Group and TCL Group began in 2004. TCL is a global strategic client of BNP Paribas Group and one of TCL's leading commercial banks in the European region.
The breakthrough in consumer financial products between TCL PV Technology and Consors Finanz, a brand of BNP Paribas Personal Finance, not only further strengthens the relationship at a strategic cooperation level, but is also a joint effort to promote sustainable projects and contribute to the cause of global low-carbon environmental protection.
Additionally, TCL designs custom solutions for homeowners with the most cost-effective products, the simplest user interface through TCL Home and the most reliable services that benefit homeowners, installers and channel partners.
