Located in South Tampa, this new two-story home is a collaboration between Michael Morabito of Coco Design Group and Anne Cox of Anne Cox Design. The homeowner, a developer and builder who travels frequently, was looking for a modern oasis that could double as both his primary residence and his Airbnb. The sleek, contemporary design features neutral colors with a modern, moody palette. The subdivision layout balances privacy and openness, meeting the needs of owners who are looking for low maintenance and rental appeal.
Neutral colors predominate, but custom wallpaper that matches the chosen paint color, carefully selected fabrics and textured rugs add depth. Notable materials include Noir's beautiful dresser, Livette's wallpaper, and customized fabrics for the sofa and chairs in his living room. The master bedroom's small balcony also houses a sculpture that can be safely stored outdoors.
The collaboration between Coco Design Group and Anne Cox Design brings together the unique styles of Morabito's fascination with neutral tones and clean lines with Cox's ability to weave color and pattern to create interior magic. Together they found an understated and fresh design harmony that resonated with the client's vision of designing a space that exuded contemporary minimalism.
The living room incorporates a custom couch by Lazar and two sage green pillows, adding a pop of color to this neutral-colored home.
In contrast to the traditional white color choice, the kitchen features bold black cabinetry from Rioja and white marble countertops that highlight the cocktail tray and charcuterie board.
Black sconce lighting creates a moody yet chic atmosphere in the dining area.
The homeowner's loft features a comfortable cream-colored chair by Four Hands, a small coffee table by Ethnicraft, and a desk by Bernhardt Design. The accompanying accessories, as well as the art above the desk, were sourced from the extensive inventory of Coco Design Group and Anne Cox Design.
The main bathroom features Lioher cabinetry, an Uttermost mirror, and a marble accent wall, making a big impact in the neutral-toned space.
This black Noir dresser in the bedroom creates a sharp contrast against the white walls.
The Four Hands bed is set against a striking black accent wall, enhanced by wall molding, and has plenty of light from the large windows next to it.
The sofa, media console, and coffee table are all by Four Hands, and the two pieces of art on the back wall are by Bassett Mirror.
