In 2020, so many people started working from home. This means that home offices are receiving even more attention in the interior design world. Ree Drummond (aka “The Pioneer Woman”) has just renovated her home office. Her layout provides plenty of inspiration if you're planning on updating your space, especially your two-desk setup.
“I've never had a home office before,” Drummond wrote in a recent Instagram caption. “I spend so much time here! Haley stops by and works with me. I have Rudd come over from time to time, but only if he makes an appointment. I get samples. We spread the word, watch Bravo and documentaries on TV, think, plan, review, write, email, edit, and daydream.”
She said the space also comes with a full bathroom in case it needs to be converted into a bedroom in the future. “But for now, this is Lee Lee's headquarters,” Drummond added.
The rooms are bright and airy, with vaulted ceilings, large windows, and cream-colored boards and battens drawing the eye upwards. But I can't help but stare at the spindle desk in the middle of these two (!). One is home to Drummond's computers, and the other is technology-free, making it a great place to journal, read, and receive visitors.
It also gives Drummond plenty of space to spread out her desk decorations. As you know, it's a must-have for your home office.
If you have a room large enough for two desks (it doesn't have to be as big as Drummond), this back-to-back layout might be fun to try to improve your workspace and productivity. yeah. It's also great if you have one of your employees or a customer visiting your home.
As Drummond showed us, a little extra goes a long way. Two desks are definitely better than one.
