Canadian-based artist Charlene Robertson creates exquisite home decor inspired by nature. Mirrors of various shapes and sizes are framed with arrangements of pressed flowers and ferns preserved in epoxy resin.
Each of these pieces is handmade in her studio. Robertson collects dried leaves that catch her eye, such as daisies, ferns, and baby's breath, and pairs them with metallic accents. Once she and Robertson are satisfied with the composition of these items, she sets them in resin. Most of the time she chooses to leave the resin transparent so that some of the mirrors can be seen, but in some cases she adds color to create a striking border to her pieces. .
In addition to creating forest-inspired decor, Robertson uses the shimmering properties of resin to create waves of cerulean blue. Similar to her plant placement, this beachy aesthetic creeps along the sides of the mirror, creating a beautiful border surrounding the viewer as they look at their reflection.
Available ornaments and jewelry can be purchased from Robertson's Etsy shop.
