Some plant holders are essentially just stools on which to place plants. These are especially easy to DIY as all you need is a surface and some legs. Best of all, plant stands don't have to support human weight, giving you more flexibility when it comes to materials and design. This DIY by @Bargain Bethany uses an inexpensive Dollar Tree rolling pin for the legs. Sometimes out of stock, she says, another plain tapered rolling pin will also work, such as the Classic Wood Rolling Pin, which sells for $5.99 on Amazon.
A circular wooden panel creates a stylish top. Options such as the Walnut Hollow Project panel cost $18.93 at The Home Depot. As mentioned in the video for this project, you can also use a pizza pan or a large bowl if you want to get everything you need from the dollar store. However, a wooden top looks better and has the added benefit of being a blank canvas that you can stain or paint to your liking.
