The family's signature troupe of collectible figures brings a touch of fun to the ornate interiors of this stylish Singapore sanctuary
In the field of interior design, achieving the perfect balance of shape, proportion, texture, and color is what all design practitioners aim to achieve. For a family with a huge collection of collectible figures, the challenge was how to tastefully display these fun additions inside the interior of his 6,600 square foot single-family home in Singapore. was.
The homeowners sought local Prestige Global Design to completely renovate their three-story residence. The client perused social media and the pages of Tatler Homes His Singapore Magazine and was fascinated by the details of the company's portfolio. Led by directors Michael Ong and Jeremy Tay, the firm is known for expertly putting together beautiful interiors that express each client's unique brief and needs.
“The family of three wants a modern and luxurious interior and has an eclectic collection of toys and figurines to display around the house,” Tay reveals. “Figures in our client’s collection include designs by Kaws, Bearbrick, Molly, Mighty Jaxx, and Qeeboo, just to name a few.”

This five-bedroom property is 4,400 square feet and is divided into two pool-facing wings, each with a living room and dining area. A walkway connects these two main social spaces in the home to a tranquil blue-tiled pool. Full-height sliding glass doors let in plenty of sunlight, creating a sunny space that the design team aimed to furnish with style.
“Our design concept is to create modern, luxurious interiors that add uniqueness through elements that express the client's personality,” explains Mr Tay. “The interior design features a neutral color scheme and a luxurious aesthetic without excessive exaggeration. Already having a spacious feel and with plenty of natural light, it's easy to improve the original interior with furniture and decor. is our challenge.”
This home's primarily neutral palette is enhanced by the use of pops of color, as seen in the accent pieces and collectible toys on display. These are combined with a tasteful mix of materials, including Florim Stone's marble-look porcelain tiles sourced from Italy, as well as the use of different types of natural stone, leather, wood veneers and metals.
