Spanish yacht designer Jay Avadoni has once again exceeded expectations with the unveiling of a new superyacht concept that proves there are no limits to what the savvy and talented designer can envision.
Aiming to develop a personal watercraft that can offer a different experience to savvy yacht owners, Aberdoni has devised a new pioneering superyacht concept called Day One.
Jay Abadoni is well known in the yachting world for his bold concepts that push boundaries and chart a brighter future. The Monaco-based designer founded his eponymous studio several years ago after a successful career as senior yacht designer at Alberto Mancini Yacht Design.
Described as a “gentleman's yacht,” Day One is the newest addition to Aberdoni's portfolio and measures a whopping 239 feet (73.3 meters) long. This concept ship is essentially “aesthetically designed” and boasts a sleek, aerodynamic silhouette and an exterior design that features “overwhelming minimalism,” according to an independent designer. The streamlined profile defined by clean sweeping lines, contrasting with the concentric circles of the deck configuration, certainly recalls the minimalist ships of her 1960s and her 70s. At the same time, this superyacht represents a fashionable reinterpretation of minimalist design, exuding elegance and sophistication.
As Aberdoni explains, Day One was “conceived to express the classic elegance that is the essence of yachting” and that “every surface is a sublime expression of confidence and style; This is only suitable for unconventional people.”

This superyacht has a low breakwater and extensive glazing, which is thought to help create ample social space that blends seamlessly into each other and offers far-reaching sea views for guests on board. The lack of formal partitions, repeated use of glass and fully retractable sliding doors also contribute to creating one large open-plan living space with easy access to all indoor and outdoor areas. This incredibly open layout not only enhances the living experience, but also allows occupants to feel a sense of oneness with their surroundings.
In terms of accommodations, there are six staterooms on Day 1, which are expected to be configured to accommodate up to 11 guests. Owners will benefit from a luxurious forward-facing master suite designed to provide both comfort and luxury, with a private bow terrace with Jacuzzi and infinity lounge.
The focus is on luxury for all guests, incorporating a full range of modern amenities, including a luxurious cinema room, beach club gym and spa, sophisticated upper deck dining area and helipad. I am. The upper deck is dedicated to socializing and relaxation and features an open-plan layout including a TV lounge, bar-style seating, and a dip pool surrounded by plush sofas.
Another distinguishing feature of this conceptual design is the stern area. Here, a soft garage is neatly hidden behind a wooden slatted wall that, when moored, slides out to form a spacious outdoor terrace. Additionally, the transom and side terrace can be folded down to create even more space for sunbathing and relaxing by the water. This setup also opens up the lounge and dining area on the lower deck, offering stunning ocean views.
Aberdoni has once again outdone itself with this new concept, showing that it is capable of taking the onboard living experience to new heights. With its seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, extensive leisure amenities and luxurious facilities, his Day One is sure to spark the imagination of the next generation of yacht owners.
