Technology doesn't always work, but for some homeowners in Limerick, it has provided advanced security measures to scare potential burglars away.
In the early hours of Saturday, March 9, 2024, an attempted robbery occurred at a house in Doorisle, County Limerick.
A video doorbell was installed in the house.
Around 1 a.m., three men were seen with their faces covered in the front driveway.
They can be clearly seen in the footage approaching the front door.
As soon as they see the doorbell camera, they run away from the house.
Sergeant Barr Leach told homeowners: “Additional security can give you added peace of mind, but the most basic rule of security is to make sure all windows and doors in your home are locked. “This is what is being done,” he said.
