“There's a lot of excess at Christmas,” says Dane Isom Johnson, Etsy's trend expert. From food and drinks to gifts, you'll be full. But when it comes to interiors, less is often more. Simple is often the key. If you have a minimalist home, here are her three tips for keeping your home feeling festive this Christmas.

“When creating a minimalist Christmas setting, focus only on what you need. Do you need four trees? Probably not. Stick to just one. Fairy lights in every window Why not just stick to a few?

“Choose a color and stick to it!” The color palette in a minimalist home is often very simple, with just one or two tonal variations. Just because it's Christmas doesn't mean you have to introduce completely new colors.

“Replace, not add – Instead of adding more and more decorative items to your home, replace what you already have. Keep it organized and clean.”
