Before you throw away your old light bulbs, here's a genius way to upcycle them into sophisticated holiday decorations. First, add a dot of hot glue to the larger side of the bulb and start wrapping the twine around the bulb (I love the sage green and metallic gold twine). Continue adding adhesive. Finally, add twigs to form the stems and attach them to the paper leaves.

Cover the area with glue using a paintbrush. Place the gold leaf on the painted surface, smooth it lightly with your hand, and use a soft-bristled brush to sweep the area in a circular motion. Let it dry for a few hours, then apply a smooth thin layer of sealer over it.
