There are three options here, and you can choose the two that best suit your personality.
For the record:
Cut two large cardboard circles from the box. Cover both sides of the circles with black spray paint and let dry completely. While the circles are drying, print two copies of the record label template. Cut out the labels and glue one to the center of each black cardboard circle. To create shoulder and chest straps, measure the length you need. Apply two strips of black duct tape, sticky sides together, to each strap. Tape the straps to the cardboard at the front and back, so that the costume will easily slide over the wearer's head. Use a paint pen to draw in the record grooves.
For mixtapes:
Cut two large rectangles from a cardboard box. Spray both sides of the circle with teal spray paint. While this dries, print two copies of the cassette label template. Cut out the labels and adhere them to the center of the cardboard rectangles. Using a black permanent marker, add the shape and outline of the cassette following the template provided. Create shoulder and chest straps following the instructions above (instructions for the record). Tape them to the front and back of the cardboard so they can easily be slipped over the head.
For the disco ball:
Cut two large circles out of a cardboard box. Spray both sides of the circles with silver spray paint and let dry completely. While that dries, cut a 1″ x 2″ rectangle of foil. Cut a piece of duct tape 1/2″ wide and place the foil rectangle sticky side down so that most of the foil hangs down (it will look like a flag banner). Starting from the bottom, adhere the tape/foil banner to the silver cardboard circle so that the top layer overlaps the bottom layer. This will create a tile effect. Cut or fold back the tape around the edges of the circles to maintain a round “mirror ball” shape. Complete the two circles, front and back. Create shoulder and chest straps as instructed above (instructions for the record). Tape them to the front and back of the cardboard so they can be easily slipped over your head.
