In this cool, collectible bohemian beach house, designer Skyler Samperton designed a small living room work area around the client's stunning 18th-century Chinese painter's desk. Similarly, soulful objects such as the owner's prized 1948 Greta Magnusson Grossman lamp and his 1930s French armchair were superimposed on the vignette. Terracotta-colored grasscloth wallpaper, paisley-print curtains and patterned rugs create a more intimate atmosphere.
