You can't do your best work in a boring, uninspired space. But it's a misconception that a beautiful workspace needs to cost a lot of money. In fact, a quick trip to IKEA (check out this great list of IKEA desk hacks) can give you everything you need to create a stunning office that's both comfortable and practical.

2. Matching desks and cabinets

This sun-drenched home office by @my.millennium.maison features an IKEA desk and cabinets in monochromatic hues and matching drawer pulls that work together to create a luxurious, cohesive look that we love.

3. Greenery Everywhere

This cool and modern IKEA desk hack by @prettylittleterrace is based on an IKEA BESTA cabinet. She placed the desktop on top of two BESTA cabinets, covered the front with rattan and used the same color paint on the desk and walls. Both elements, along with the pink chair, give the office a midcentury feel.

Whether you're creating a home office for a few employees or a homework area for the little ones, this IKEA desk hack by @jamie.levenhagen ensures there's enough space for everyone, not to mention the multiple drawers to store everyday items and keep desk clutter-free.

5. Wall-to-wall office space

In this small yet elegant home office by @hartnettcj , an IKEA ALEX filing cabinet is accented with elegant planks of stained raw wood.

In this beautiful home office by @1930s_semi_charmed_life, a long piece of birch plywood sits atop two IKEA EKET cabinets. The soft green hue of the cabinets combines with the natural wood tones throughout to create a midcentury modern aesthetic.

@Seasonsincolour has created a stunning homeschool space for their kids using several items from the IKEA PAX collection. Eagle-eyed viewers may notice an IKEA KALLAX cube mounted on the wall above the desk as extra storage space.

In this chic dining room office by @back.to.brick.14, a white IKEA ALEX filing system works as the perfect IKEA desk hack. The blue velvet chairs are similar to those at the dining room table, creating a unified look.

Give your IKEA desk an asymmetrical feel by copying this cool design from IKEA Hackers. One side uses an IKEA ALEX cabinet for handy storage, while the other side features slim desk legs for an unconventional look.

11. Extended Workstation

If two desks are more than your space allows, it can be useful to add a third surface, like this workstation from @woodlandstylehouse, which is suitable for two teenagers or roommates. The extra tabletop in this IKEA desk hack gives you extra area to spread out if needed, and also doubles as a divider between work zones.

For those with limited space, a floating desk like the one featured here by @playroominspo is a great option to make the most of your room and create a functional office space. In this IKEA desk hack, two desks are fixed to the wall, freeing up space for other features of the room.

This IKEA desk hack by @letsmakeitsparkle is perfect for anyone who needs a little extra space but still wants to maintain a minimalist vibe. Just pull it out when you need to get an extra task done and tuck it away under your desk when you're done.

To create a clutter-free workspace for two, Holly and Brad Lauritzen strategically placed three grey ALEX drawer units and topped them off with a beech GERTON tabletop. Organisational pieces like white file folder drawers and decorative elements like a chalkboard enhance the desk's practicality.

If you're looking to fit a desk into a small space like a studio or an already-crowded family room, follow this tutorial by Lauren Koster, where she simply covers the shelf (which conveniently has two built-in drawers!) in stained oak and adds hairpin legs.

To create this amazing IKEA desk hack, Lovely Indeed blogger Chelsea Foy attached HILVER table legs to a LINNMON tabletop and added a set of Micke drawers for storage. But it's the next step that really sets this DIY apart: After the desk was fully assembled, Foy applied colorful adhesive vinyl to each drawer for a fun look.

This enormous desk makes an impressive presence in any home office, but its real draw is its storage space. To save floor space in her small room, Jennifer Flores used an IKEA desk hack to mount an EXPEDIT bookcase on the wall above her desk, making use of vertical space.

Emily Rex created a two-person desk in her garage apartment using three IKEA desks, wooden countertops, and beautiful brass handles. The result is a sleek, inviting workspace that looks custom made.

Similarly, this beautiful desk in @emilylexstudio's lovely home office sits atop two IKEA HEMNES dressers. This clever IKEA desk hack is popular because the drawers reduce desktop clutter and act as a great way to store important items. The light wooden desktop pairs perfectly with the white dresser to create an elegant yet functional workspace.
