It's not just your wardrobe that deserves a little spring upgrade. With the start of the new season just days away, now is the perfect time to update your home decor to reflect the changing weather and embrace the breezy spring vibes. Adding pops of color, fresh scents, light linens, and fresh flowers are always on our spring to-do lists, but this year we're asking some of our favorite interior designers to help create their spring home decor. I found the latest update. If you, too, are ready to refresh your home for the season, adding another cushion to your living room or a spring wreath to your entryway is just the beginning. Here are all the spring decorating ideas designers are using to update your home this season.

1. Refresh your bathroom

The bathroom may not be the first thing you think of when redecorating your home for spring, but making a few changes to this area can make a big difference. Inject some spring energy into your bathroom with new shower curtains, bathmats, and towels in fun colors and patterns. With these simple upgrades, you'll look forward to your nightly skincare routine and your bathroom will look even better.

2. Display agricultural products

Channel your inner Dakota Johnson and transform your decor by displaying fruit in a stylish bowl. Not only is this a practical way to preserve produce, but it's also an easy and affordable way to add a pop of color to your kitchen. Display the bowls on your kitchen counter or dining table as simple centerpieces that can be assembled in seconds.

3. Exchange art

One of the easiest ways to refresh your interior is to replace the artwork that's in your gallery wall, above your kitchen counter, on your mantel, or on your side table. Studio McGee does a great job of styling art season after season, so we're always looking for inspiration on how to style your artwork throughout the year. For example, if you currently have a dark, moody landscape painting on your entryway table, swap it out for an all-over print in pastel colors instead. With these simple changes, you can instantly transform your home from a calm winter atmosphere to a bright and refreshing spring atmosphere.

4. Change the scent of your candles

Whether you keep a candle lit during your daily Zoom calls or always light up your favorite fragrance when you wind down at night, why not change up your scent to commemorate the new season? Make this habit count. Designer Adnan Anwar shares some of his favorite candle picks for spring. “I often move away from musky, cedar-like, leathery scents and switch to lighter, more herbal scents,” he said. “I especially love the garden mint candles.”

Designer Leah Phillips agreed. “I switch out rustic candles for more floral and bright candles. What I have is Urban Her Flower Her Market, which is really spring in a bottle.”

5. Change table linens and accents

Whether you live alone or share a dining space with four roommates, your kitchen table deserves some seasonal love. Designer Emma Berrill said, “I'm someone who derives incredible joy from setting the table for dinner.'' She says, “I really enjoy using nice glassware, napkins and silverware, even if I'm just ordering a pizza, because it makes the end of the day feel a little celebratory.”

When spring arrives, Beryl pulls out delicate glassware and brightly colored linen napkins from the cabinet. She added, “I love using all shades of blue and green, especially in spring, because it relates to the outdoors and the general sense of the green season.” .

6. Add a light touch

Want some ideas for a bright and airy living room? Add some light accents by tucking away flannel blankets in storage. For designer Daniel Muzynoski, that means rethinking his space and choosing timeless home decor that creates an airy feel. “For example, I'm going to turn dark, heavy ceramics into hand-blown glass vases,” Muzynowski said. “Pillows and blankets will be replaced with lighter colors and linen textures.”

7. Choose spring-inspired bed linens

Winter sheets kept us warm and cozy during the cold season, but now that spring is here, we don't need them anymore. “One of the best ways to update your home seasonally is to have fresh linens in your bedroom,” says designer Kathleen Walsh. “I have sets for spring and summer as well as fall and winter. They keep my room interesting and help me transition into a seasonal mindset.”

If you're normally drawn to neutral color schemes and paint colors in your home, subtle touches of color peeking through your bedding can bring a happy, fresh feel to your room without creating too much contrast. Choose sheets in shades of light pink, blue, yellow, and green.

8. Incorporate floral patterns

Spring florals? Revolutionary (had to be). But seriously, there's a reason a vase full of fresh flowers is a must-have for designers. Designer Whitney Durham says, “Adding fresh, colorful flowers like tulips and hydrangeas to the main rooms of your home will give it a spring scent and feel like spring.”

Designer Charlie Huntman, on the other hand, loves emerald green hydrangeas and anemones. “There's something about their delicacy that makes you forget the cold winter weather and dream of summer,” she said.

But don't worry. You don't have to spend a lot of money on this beautification process. Designer Jennifer Hunter said, “You can have so much fun and get creative with different colors and types of flowers from your local deli or supermarket.” “No need to be too fancy here!”

9. Update the vase

While you're thinking about flowers, you might want to take this opportunity to update your vase collection. Designer Kate Jacobowitz likes to display fresh flowers in new vases and vessels she finds online. “Etsy is a great source for fun and quirky pottery,” she said. “I love pieces that group together unusual shapes or color combinations. Some are interesting enough to stand on their own on days when fresh flowers aren't in the cards.”

10. Lean on a plant.

If you're a plant person, bring lots of green friends this spring. “I'm always looking for ways to incorporate more plants around the house,” says designer Leah Walder. “I use it as a centerpiece by placing it on a bookshelf or in a basket in the entryway. It really makes our home feel more alive and ready for spring.” Choose live plants or create realistic ones. Regardless of which faux plants you choose, you can't deny the impact of freshness.

11. Swap the books on your coffee table.

Don't forget to give your coffee table a spring refresh, too. “I always change out the books on my coffee table,” says Ms. Muzynoski, a designer. “For winter, I've got all the neutral colors, but for spring, I might choose covers in fun colors like pink or green.” These books not only work as spring living room decor; You can also read a nice book to you or your guests while relaxing on the sofa.

12. Buy your own house

Home design trends always make us want to reinvent our homes, but you don't have to buy a single item to transform your space for the seasons, including spring. Designer Anne Flanagan shares her tried-and-true tricks to liven up your home without breaking the bank. When it's time for a refresh, Flanagan organizes the boxes of home decor she keeps in her basement. “This bin has a lot of items that I love, but not everything I love is always in its place,” she explained. “I play around with swapping out pieces and swapping out other pieces. I don't care about trends, so most of my items are classics, so I can keep my space fresh without having to go shopping.” It feels like.”
